Guided tour of St. Peter and St. Paul, Easton Maudit Church led by Tim Allebone, The Church Warden. The building is an excellent example of an early 14th century church. The tour will provide details of the history of the Church and in particular the tombs and the monuments. The earliest memorial is in respect of Sir Christopher Yelverton (d. 1612) who bought Easton Maudit Manor from the Earl of Oxford. His tomb is rich in heraldry.
There is no charge for the guided tour, but donations towards the upkeep of the Church would be appreciated.
